This is the machine I use for my free-motion quilting. It is a Babylock Tiara II with a 16″ throat. I have used it for 3 years now and have over 15 million stiches on it now.
We Recently remodeled our house and was able to relocate my studio to the enclosed patio out back. Now I have all my quilting things in one room and it is so nice. Still getting it organized, but here are a few pictures.
I piece mostly on my featherweight. Do binding and Applique on my Pfaff and quilt on my Tiara II. Here is my ever increasing thread wall. Just love all the colors.
My cutting area has 1 large 36” x 60” table and a ampler drafting table. Also not have my tools on a peg wall and can have my iron behind it.
I started doing free-motion quilting on a small Brother machine, then for a few years on a Pfaff Quilt Expression 4.0 which has a 9″ throat, and now on my Tiara II. I love doing free-motion quilting. I have taken classes on Craftsy form nationally know teachers (Leah Day, Angela Walters, Cindy Needham, Christina Cameli, Ann Peterson). I love doing feathers and try to incorporate them as much as I can. Please see below for my pricing guidelines, contact me and we can discuss what kind of quilting you want. All my quilting is free-motion, hand-guided and non speed regulated (the only regulation I have is my foot petal and my hands.) I have gotten pretty consistent in my stitch length, but it will vary. I may use rulers and templates and stencils for the designs. I try to do as little marking as possible. I use either chalk or blue wash out markers when I mark.
I would love to take your quilt tops and enhance them with my quilting. I love hearing about who the quilt is for and trying to make the quilting personal. I can do special threads (MonoPoly, metallic, variegated), and can even couch yarn and add beading (for additional fees). I would love to do something special to make your masterpiece stand out (whether it is pieced or appliqued). I love feathers and swirls.

Quilting service: minimum $30 charge for quilting
I rarely take in Queen or King size quilts due to limited basting space. But I do have access to a longarm on a frame (on a space available basis) and am currently working on my free motion quilting on it. If you have a larger quilt contact me and we can talk about it. Measurements are taken before quilting. Measure the length and width and then multiply to get the square inches.

Thread charge…………………………………………………..$3 for throw size, $5 for twin, $8 for queen, $12 for King
Batting: needs to have 4″ excess on each side.
You can provide your own batting or purchase from me. Price list depends on what batting I have at the time.
Backing: needs to have at least 4″ excess on all sides and be squared up. Please cut off all selvedges and if a seam is needed it should be at least 1/2″ and pressed open. I can do this for you for a $10 charge.
Binding: I can trim your quilt and add binding for the following prices.
Make 2 1/2″ bias binding from fabric you provide (3/4 yard) ……$10 attach to front of quilt by machine …………………………………..$.10 per linear inch attach to back and machine sew onto front of quilt……………….$.15 per linear inch
Additional charges may be accessed if quilt or backing need to be pressed, threads need to be snipped, seams are loose and come undone. Quilt top will be inspected at time of drop off, but some things may not be noticed at the time and you will be notified if additional charges are incurred.
